I said in my article at Christmas time we are going to try a News Letter, up to six times a year, to keep our membership informed as to what is going on in the Post. You may also get this information, and more up to date information on line, at waupacavfw.org.

Our Rifle Squad has been very busy doing Funeral Honors again this year. Anyone interested in participating in the Funeral Honors program please contact me Richard Morey at 715-258-7257.

Wayne Knutson is heading up a committee to try and upgrade or replace the Veterans Memorial in Waupaca, presently located on the town square.

After some discussion the Post has decided to continue Bingo this year. Bingo will be held on the third Thursday of the month beginning in March and running through November. The games start at 7:00 P.M. The Ladies Auxiliary will serve snacks and deserts. We need at least 5 people to run the games including a caller. If you would like to help, even if it's only once a year, contact Darwin Werner at 715-258-9052 or Wayne Knutson at 715-258-8785.

March activities are, Post meeting March 3rd, Bingo the 20th. Viet Nam Vets meet March 24th at the Marden Center bar at the Wisconsin Veterans Home in King, from 6:00 P.M. to 8:00 P.M. April Meeting is on the 7th, Bingo the 17th, Nam Vets the 24th, 7th District meeting to be announced, County Government Day in the school with the American Legion, and Loyalty Day Parade for VFW Department of Wisconsin.
