Listen Up!

I need to apologize to each of you for not keeping you updated on what is going on in the Post. It has been a very busy time as usual.

I want to say Thank You to all those that took the time to help us with our projects this year, without you we could not do the things we do. Just a little reminder we meet the first Monday of each month at 7:00 PM at the Post Home at 244 Industrial Dr . We have a meal between 5:30 and 6:00 PM the Post supplies the meat and members bring a dish to pass. I would like to welcome all of our new members. We hope that we can work together to assist each other in any way we can for the benefit of all Veterans. To up grade our Blog for the rest of the year I am going to have the web-master put up a list of things by the month that we do every year, I hope the dates are correct if not we can adjust them as we go. If you can help us out with any of them please let us know we would be glad to have you join us. With the tough economic times we need to work together to keep the benefits we already have, and to make sure our active duty troops are taken care of the way they should be.

Wow has this year gone by fast it seems like we just finished with our Salvation Army Kettle Campaign and here we are ready to start a new one. As I write this we are getting ready to do our last Bingo for the year. We are the only game in town now so our attendance has been good, we will have money to cover our scholarships. The Iola Car Show and the Vintage Military with Old Working Wheels were both successful this year, thanks to all that helped out. The 32 nd Brigade Combat Team will be returning from Iraq early in 2010 we will need to make sure that they are properly welcomed home.

I hope everyone has a very Merry Christmas and a Happy New Year. I hope everyone can come to the Post and celebrate News Year with us, most of us are getting older so I'm sure it won't be a real late night.

Just a reminder for all continuous members your dues are due now $24.00. If anyone is having trouble affording this let us know we can help out.
