Listen Up!

I want to say Thank You to all those that took the time to help us with our projects this year, without you we could not do the things we do. As the Vietnam Vets reach retirement age, I hope we can get more of these people involved and get more info out to you. Just a little reminder we meet the first Monday of each month at 7:00 PM at the Post Home at 244 Industrial Dr. We have a meal between 5:30 and 6:00 PM the post supplies the meat and members bring a dish to pass. I would like to welcome all of our new members. We hope that we can work together to assist each other in any way we can for the benefit of all Veterans. To up grade our Blog for the summer and for the rest of the year I am going to have the web-master put up a list of things by the month that we do every year, I hope the dates are correct if not we can adjust them as we go. If you can help us out with any of them please let us know we would be glad to have you join us.

To our new members, our younger members and those that may be interested in joining us. One of the things that I have learned by going to many of the different VFW functions is that we as posts need to change how we operate if we want to get the younger vets involved. There is a great age difference between us and many of the new people, so also is the gape in things we like to do. We need input from you on what changes you would like, and how we can better serve you. I believe that we need you and you need us to continue the work of this great organization. With the tough economic times we need to work together to keep the benefits we already have, and to make sure our active duty troops are taken care of the way they should be.

Just a reminder for all continuous members you dues are due now $24.00. If anyone is having trouble affording this let us know we can help out.
