Listen Up!

September 2008

As usual it is way past time to update our Post Blog. I learned at our last Post meeting that there are people looking at our Post website and we need to keep it updated and useful. Just a little reminder we meet the first Monday of each month at 7:00 PM at the Post Home at 244 Industrial Dr. We have a meal between 5:30 and 6:00 PM the post supplies the meat and members bring a dish to pass. I would like to welcome all of our new members. We hope that we can work together to assist each other in any way we can for the benefit of all Veterans. With the coming of Fall and Winter the Post will slow down a little but please check out the Post Agenda for the year on the website. Some of the things coming up are our Adopt-A-Highway it was suppose to be the first Saturday in October, but at the last meeting we decided to wait till after the next meeting to schedule our next pickup. Two things that I am working on right now are Veterans in the Classroom, and The Salvation Army Kettle Campaign.

Post Bingo is held on the third Thursday each month with the money going to our Scholarship Fund. We can always use more help.

Thanks to all that took time to help us in any way with all of our Spring and Summer Projects and Programs.

The Kettle campaign will start the Friday after Thanksgiving and run each week end till Christmas, we will also try to do the 23rd and 24th of Dec. To set up a time to ring call Jerry Peskie 258-5012.
